Smoke and flames can be seen coming from the back of a house on Ross Avenue. This is the fourth fire in the house since April 8, 2023 (News 4)

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was called to the building in the 500 block around 5:40 pm on Monday April 17, 2023. When crews arrived on the scene they found smoke and flames coming from the vacant two-storey house. Crews attacked the fire from the outside with hand lines and an aerial ladder truck.

Two nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported.

Fire officials say that the structural integrity of the house is compromised so they are arranging to have the building demolished.

Crews had previously fought fires in the same building on April 8, 10 and 12, 2023.

All four of the fires are under investigation
