A Winnipeg firefighter suffered a minor injury while battling a fire in a Toronto Street vacant house on Wednesday July 15, 2020.
According to the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews were called to the fire just after 11:00 am in the 500 block.
When they arrived heavy smoke was coming from the building. An offensive attack was launched with the fire declared under control around 11:30 am.

A search of the structure confirmed that no one was inside at the time of the blaze.
The firefighter who sustained the injury was treated on scene by paramedics and did not require hospitalization.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
