A 13-year old boy is facing seven firearms-related offences and eight counts of Fail to Comply with Conditions of Sentences for an incident that happened early Monday morning, December 3, 2018.
Just before 2:30 am a police k-9 unit was investigating commercial break-ins when the officer noticed a youth walking in the area.
The boy walked up to a home on Aikins Street but quickly ran from the home. Soon afterwards he was found trying to hide near Machray School. The K-9 officer and his Police Service Dog tracked the boy’s path back to the residence on Aikins and found a sawed-off .22 calibre rifle.
The youth was placed under arrest and charged.
