Early Tuesday morning, August 17, 2022, Dauphin RCMP officers witnessed what they believed was a drug trafficking transaction.
As officers approached the three suspects on bicycles they fled. Police gave chase on foot and were able to apprehend a 21-year-old male from Saskatoon. A search of the suspect’s backpack found a sawed-off shotgun, a handgun, bear spray and break-in instruments.
Colin Pruden was charged for his alleged involvement with two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon, two counts of Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Carry Firearm in Careless Manner and Possess Break-In Instruments.
Officers continue to search for a 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, both from Dauphin. Both suspects will be charged once they are caught, say police.
