Firearms, pipe-bomb and meth lab found in Polson Avenue home

On Thursday September 24, 2020, Winnipeg Police responded to a dispute at a home in the 800 block of Polson Avenue.

Officers spoke to a 27-year-old male resident who told them that he had a number of firearms in the basement.

Some of the 17 firearms recovered from the basement were loaded say police and they were found along with thousands of rounds of ammunition.

Members of the Bomb unit and Clandestine Lab Team were called in when a pipe-bomb was discovered along with a quantity of Methamphetamine and the equipment and chemicals to produce more.

Hayden Quinn Ploszay was arrested and charged for his alleged involvement with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Explosives, Careless Storage of a Firearm and Produce a Scheduled Substance (Methamphetamine)

Ploszay was detained in custody.
