A 23-year-old male was arrested and charged with a number of firearms offences after he was spotted by officers in the Lord Selkirk Park neighbourhood.
When the male was taken into custody officers found a sawed-off Lee Enfield bolt-action rifle and a Glock 19 Airsoft pistol with an obliterated serial number concealed in his backpack.
Dezmend Anthony Warchild Linklater was charged for his alleged involvement with Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized, two counts of Possession of a Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon Contrary to Court Order, two counts of Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device and Transport Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations.
He was detained in custody.
