53 firearms stolen in two Manitoba break-ins

Manitoba RCMP are investigating two separate break-ins and thefts of more than 50 firearms in the last month.

Later in the day a Souris resident contacted RCMP to report the theft of more than 41 long guns. The victim of the thefts did not have a specific date of the break-in but reported it could have happened as early as mid-December 2018.

Investigators do not believe the incidents are related.

Anyone with information that can help police is asked to call Oakbank RCMP at 204-444-3847 or Souris RCMP at 204-483-2854.
