Winnipeg Fire crews spent several hours knocking out a fire that ripped through “No Name Auto” in the 900 block of Portage Avenue.
The fire broke out just after 8:00 pm Tuesday evening, February 27, 2018.
As crews arrived flames could be seen shooting out of the building.
The thick smoke from the fire prompted emergency officials to evacuate homes located near the fire on the north side of Portage Avenue.
One firefighter was injured during the blaze but the cause or extent of their injuries has not been released.
It is not known what started the fire or the cost of damages at this time.
