Two structure fires Thursday morning, April 29, 2021, are under investigation say fire officials.
At 6:28 am firefighter were called to a two-storey commercial and residential mixed-use building in the 200 block of Bannerman Avenue. Smoke was coming from the structure when crews arrived and an offensive attack was launched.
The blaze was declared under control at 6:55 pm. No injuries were reported.
The second fire was called in at 7:06 pm in the 300 block of Redwood Avenue.
Smoke was coming from the vacant one-and-a-half storey house. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control at 7:29 am.
A search of the structure found no one inside. No injuries were reported.
