Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) is investigating the cause of two separate fires on Sunday, November 4, 2018.
Just after 3:3o pm fire crews responded to a home on Prichard Avenue. Initially, they had received a report that residents were trapped inside but when crews arrived everyone in the building had self-evacuated.
The fire was quickly brought under control and put out but the home suffered significant damage because of the flames and the water used to extinguish it.
Later in the day crews were called to a two and a half story home on Talbot Avenue. Once again the residents had self-evacuated before WFPS had arrived. The fire was in the walls and firefighters had it quickly knocked down. Crews ventilated the building and most residents were able to return to their suites.
No one was injured in either fire and there is no estimate of damage.
