Late Monday night, March 25, 2019, Winnipeg firefighters were called to a blaze at a vacant home in the 200 block of Battery Street.
The fire was well-involved when they arrived with heavy smoke and flames billowing out of the building.
Crews spent the first 90 minutes attacking the fire from the exterior then moving inside once the flames were knocked down.
A search of the building confirmed there was no one inside.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
