Firefighters responded to a blaze in a temporary encampment on Higgins Avenue around 8:20 am on Monday. December 5, 2022.
Heavy smoke and flames were coming from some of the temporary structures. Several of the structures were damaged along with a nearby building that suffered minor exterior damage.
Crews were able to quickly knock the fire out within 25 minutes. No injuries were reported
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
