A house fire that broke out in the 300 block of Victor Avenue Monday morning is under investigation.

Crews responded to the fire call around 7:40am and it took them close to an hour to get the blaze under control. The fire appears to have started in the back porch and most of the damage was to the rear of the two story home.

The family with ten children were able to escape the blaze through the front door before fire crews arrived.

No one was injured in the fire

An estimate of damage or the cause of the fire is not available.
