One person managed to get out safely after a home in Island Lakes caught fire on Friday morning.

Firefighters got the call around 7:20 am to a residence just south of Bishop Grandin on Island Cove.

Fire appears to have started in the Kitchen causing more than $300,000 in damage.

No one was injured in the blaze.

Fire investigators are still trying to determine the exact cause of the fire.
