Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was called to the 800 block of Alfred Avenue for a fire in a single-family bungalow on Saturday afternoon, August 20, 2022.
When crews arrived they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control within 20 minutes.
People inside the home got out safely before firefighters arrived on the scene. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters did find a cat in the house but were unable to revive it.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
