Firefighters rescue budgie from burning home

 

 

 

 

 

Just before 3am on Tuesday February 21, 2017 firefighters responded to a house fire in the West End of Winnipeg.

Flames and smoke could be seen coming out of the structure a crews arrived to battle the blaze on Victor Street between Sargent and Ellice.

Six people, three adults and three children, were able to get out before fire crews arrived but the family pet bird, a budgie needed to be rescued.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
