Just after 2am Tuesday morning residents of Holiday Towers North were forced out of the building due to a working fire on the second floor.
According to fire officials the fire started on the second floor in an unoccupied apartment.
Winnipeg Transit buses were called in so that the residents of the 25 storey building had somewhere warm to wait.
