Winnipeg fire crews battled a large fire in extreme conditions Saturday night.

The fire broke out around 7:00 pm in the 200 block of Powers Street. 

Wind chill was -40 c at the time of the blaze.

Smoke could be seen pouring out of second floor windows as crews worked in difficult conditions.

No word on what started the fire or the cost of damages.
