Fire Destroys Vacant Residence on Stella Avenue

At approximately 9:40 p.m. on Friday, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a vacant residence located in the 600 block of Stella Avenue.

Upon arrival, crews were met with heavy smoke and flames emanating from the structure. Due to the dangerous conditions, firefighters were unable to enter the building and instead launched a defensive fire attack from the exterior. The fire was declared under control at 11:47 p.m.
