Emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire just east of Carberry on the Trans-Canada Highway on Friday afternoon, December 29, 2023.

RCMP say the incident happened around 2:00 pm. The driver of the semi-truck that was carrying nine vehicles noticed the fire coming from his truck. He stopped and got out of the semi with two other passengers before the truck was engulfed by flames.
The local fire department extinguished the blaze but the semi and all nine vehicles were destroyed.
No injuries were reported.
