A blaze at a duplex on College Avenue had fire crews hopping Sunday evening, April 7, 2019.
The call came in just after 6:00 pm that a home in the 500

The duplex was vacant and had been since an earlier fire in 2017. A neighbouring home also caught fire according to fire officials. Residents in that home were able to evacuate before firefighters arrived on scene.
A third home was evacuated as a precaution but residents were able to return later Sunday night.
Crews remained on scene for several hours pouring water onto the building from a ladder truck.

Both homes suffered significant fire, smoke and water damage.
There were no reports of injuries.
The blaze is under investigation.
