Burrows Avenue Fire
Firefighters were called to a blaze in a one-and-a-half storey house in the 400 block of Burrows Avenue around 5:56 am on Saturday. September 3, 2022.
Heavy smoke and flames were coming from the building as crews arrived on the scene. A defensive attack was initially launched but eventually transitioned to an offensive attack once conditions improved. The fire was declared under control at 7:03 am.
A search of the building found no one inside. No injuries were reported.
Furby Street Fire
Around 10:00 am firefighters responded to a garage fire in the 600 block of Furby Street. When they arrived on the scene they found two garages next to each other were fully-engulfed in flames.
The fire was declared under control at 10:18 am
The cause of both fires are under investigation.
