Ile Des Chenes fire claims woman’s life

RCMP from St. Pierre Jolys responded to a fatal trailer fire just after 8:00 am on Sunday, December 31, 2017.

The fire was located on Bonneteau Avenue which is home to a trailer community in Ile Des Chenes.

As officers arrived firefighters were carrying out a 30-year-old female. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Office of the Fire Commissioner.

Police say that there were no other injuries related to the fire.
