Former Provincial Court Associate Chief Judge Michel Chartier pleaded guilty Monday to driving while impaired.
He had been stopped by RCMP in March along the Trans-Canada Highway near highway 5. His blood alcohol level exceeded .08.
Chartier resigned from the court a few days after he was charged. He had been a Provincial court judge since 2007.
Chartier was fined $2,000 plus $600 in administration costs. He also lost his drivers licence for one year.
