Winnipeg Police Service has released the numbers from the 2019 Festive Season Checkstop Program.
During the month of December 2019, police stopped 1373 vehicles and conducted 1191 roadside breath tests of which 20 indicated Warns and 11 indicated Fails.
Police say that 33 people were charged with impaired driving related offences including one person for impaired driving due to drugs.
Five people were issued immediate administrative sanctions under new provisions for blowing a fail on a roadside breath test.
Officers also issued 27 tickets under the Highway Traffic Act.
