Police find fentanyl blotters in drug bust, warn public to be cautious

Winnipeg Police executed a search warrant and raided a Fort Rouge home on Friday, October 27, 2017. They were looking for drugs and they were successful in their search.

11 grams of methamphetamine, 6 x Fentanyl blotters, Numerous capsules containing an unknown white powder, Bear Spray, $1800.00 in cash and various pieces of personal identification were seized in the residence.

Four people,  27, 39 and 41-year-old males  and a 25-year-old female, are facing a number of  drug, weapon and identity theft charges

During the search police became concerned when they located fentanyl blotters that have a Halloween theme printed on them. Police say that in their opinion there could be other similar fentanyl blotters in the city.

Police are advising the public to use caution should they encounter any of the blotters which appear as harmless pieces of paper.

Fentanyl can be fatal if handled the blotters that seem to be in the city have a witch riding a broom in a Halloween theme. If you encounter any of the blotters call 911.

Police reiterate that the blotters are extremely dangerous and not to be handled.
