Female suspect arrested in two robberies a day apart

RCMP is investigating two robberies in Selkirk involving the same 27-year-old Winnipeg female.

On Friday, March 12, 2021, officers were called to a sporting goods store on Manitoba Avenue just before 2:00 pm. police were told that three females and a male had entered the business, gathered up some clothing and as they left the store the male displayed a can of bear spray in an effort to convince staff to let them go.

Two of the females and the male fled the area in a vehicle. The fourth suspect was arrested nearby and detained in custody. On Saturday, the suspect was released after receiving an appearance notice for court in May.

Three hours after the suspects release police were called about a shoplifter at a department store on Manitoba Avenue. Police located the suspect nearby who turned out to be the same female that had been released hours earlier.

Erica Mondor was charged for her alleged involvement with Robbery, Obstruction and Theft under $5,000.

She was detained in custody.

RCMP continue to investigate the robberies.
