A woman was pulled from the Red River on Tuesday night, June 28, 2022, after she had climbed onto the Redwood Bridge and then entered the water. Around 11:30 pm the WPS River Patrol and Air1 responded to the report of the female in distress.
The female was located in the fast moving current. A Cadet with the River Patrol Unit went into the water, placed a personal flotation device around the female and pulled her to shore. The woman was taken to hospital in stable condition for precautionary measures.
