A 19-year-old woman is dead and a 20-year-old male is facing charges in relation to a homicide that happened early Tuesday morning
Police say that around 6:30 am on October 3, 2017, they were called to Highway 502 in Lac du Bonnet, about 90 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg for the report of an injured female.

Stars Air Ambulance reports they were called to the scene but were cancelled before arriving because there was no longer a medical need for them to attend.

Police believe that the homicide is an isolated incident and that public safety is not a concern.
RCMP are continuing to investigate.
