Manitoba First Nation Police Service (MFNPS) officers have arrested and charged a 24-year-old female in connection to a stabbing incident in the community of Sandy Bay First Nation
Police say they were called early Tuesday morning, February 9, 2021, to a home for the report of a male who had been stabbed. The victim was found suffering from serious upper body injuries and transported to Portage District General Hospital.
The victims injuries were so extensive that he was transferred to Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg by STARS air ambulance where he underwent surgery. MFNPS say that the victim is now in stable condition.
The suspect has been charged for her alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault. She was released on conditions to appear in court.
