RCMP in Norway House is investigating a fatal snowmobile collision that claimed the lives of a 20-year-old male and a 19-year-old female, both from the community.
Police say the pair were travelling on the ice near Mission Island on Tuesday December 8, 2020, when they collided with a dock. The impact threw both riders off the machine.
Police say both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither were wearing helmets at the time of the collision.
The investigation continues.
