A 43-year-old man is dead after he lost control of his snowmobile.
Police say that around 2:30 am this morning, March 17, 2018, they received a call about the collision that took place 6 kilometres southeast of Swan River.
The snowmobile veered off the rail and collided with a tree. He was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards.
Investigators say that the victim was wearing a helmet but they believe alcohol and speed played a factor in the fatal collision.
The investigation is continuing.
