Fatal rollover claims the life of Saskatchewan man, driver charged for impaired

A 39-year-old man from Weyburn, Saskatchewan is dead after the vehicle he was a passenger in rolled into a ditch eight kilometres east of Pipestone, Manitoba.

RCMP say that a 23-year-old man was driving the pickup truck westbound on Highway 2 just before 4:00 am on August 10, 2018, when he lost control of the vehicle.

Two other male occupants aged 27 and 32 suffered minor injuries.

The driver was not injured but police say that he was impaired. He was charged with Impaired Driving Causing Death and remains in police custody.

The investigation continues
