Police learned that the victim was camping with his family and playing with a group of children when he wandered away. His absence was quickly noticed by family and they found him a short time later in a nearby body of water. The family immediately began CPR until medical services arrived. The first responders took over but were unable to revive the child. The child was pronounced dead soon afterwards.
Police say that the investigation is continuing but they do not consider the death suspicious.
