RCMP are investigating two fatal collisions in Manitoba that occurred Wednesday night, July 18, 2018.
Just before 8:30 pm police in Amaranth responded to a vehicle rollover near Sandy Bay First Nation
Investigators say that a mini-van being driven by a 39-year-old male lost control and rolled ejecting a 31-year-old male passenger. The driver was seriously injured and the passenger died at the scene. A second 31-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries.
Alcohol and speed are believed to have played a part in the collision.
The second collision occurred just before midnight near the Ebb and Flow First Nation.
A 19-year-old female from Ebb and Flow First Nation was crossing Provincial Road 278 when she was struck by a car travelling northbound.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 52-year-old male driver from the RM of Ste. Rose was not seriously injured.
Police do not believe alcohol played a part in the collision.
Police continue to investigate the collisions surrounding both fatalities.
