Two people are dead after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a deer on Highway 16.
RCMP say the collision happened Monday morning, June 24, 2019, just before 11:00 am near Newdale in western Manitoba. Newdale is about 247 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.
The driver and passenger from Strathclair were thrown from the motorcycle during the collision. A 76-year-old female died at the scene while the 64-year-old male driver was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards.
Investigators say they do not believe alcohol or drugs played a factor in the collision.
