A female pedestrian has died after being struck by an SUV Monday afternoon.
It happened just after 4:00 pm at the St. Mary’s Avenue and Carlton Street intersection. One male and one female pedestrian were struck.
The driver of the SUV and the male pedestrian were taken to the hospital, treated and released. The female was taken to hospital in critical condition and later died of her injuries.
Police had the intersection closed for several hours Monday evening as they investigated the cause of the collision.
