Fatal collision in RM of Stanley claims male teen

RCMP say that alcohol is considered a factor in a fatal single-vehicle collision in the RM of Stanley early Sunday morning, February 19, 2018.

It happened on Highway 32 just west of Road 21 West.

Police say that they received a report of the accident just before 12:30 am and when officers arrived on scene they found a pickup truck on fire in the south ditch.

Two teen males were ejected during the collision as neither were wearing seatbelts say, investigators.

A 19-year-old male from Rosengart died at the scene the other male, 18 from Winkler sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP are continuing to investigate.
