At approximately 7:45 on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 the driver of a vehicle collided with a pedestrian on Henderson Highway at Slater Avenue.

The female victim was taken to hospital in critical condition but died shortly afterwards as a result of her injuries.

Investigators were on scene most of the day and a section of Henderson Highway was closed to traffic until shortly after 4:00 pm.
