Winnipeg Police are investigating a collision between two pedestrians and a vehicle at Panet Road and Regent Avenue West.

Police say that around 12:20 am this morning, May 14, 2019 officers happened upon the collision and found an adult male and an adult female suffering from significant injuries. Officers began providing first aid immediately while paramedics were en route. Both victims were taken to hospital in critical condition but they did not survive their injuries and were pronounced dead.

Investigators say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and talked to police.

Police say they believe the vehicle was travelling westbound on Regent Avenue West when the pedestrians crossed southbound at Panet and were hit.
