Just before noon on June 16, 2017 RCMP from Brandon responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 10 about a kilometre north of Provincial Road 353.
A 55 year old woman, who was driving a minivan, died after her vehicle crossed the center line and hit a northbound semi.
The male passenger in the minivan suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Semi truck was not injured in the collision.
Police say that both occupants of the minivan were from Rivers, Manitoba and that alcohol does not appear to be a factor. Everyone involved in the accident were wearing seatbelts.
Police have brought in their Forensic Collision Reconstructionist to help with the investigation.
