The Manitoba government announced today that the Fall legislative session will begin on October 7 with a speech from the throne.
The government says that their new legislative agenda will be focused on protecting Manitobans and safely restarting the economy during COVID-19.
“COVID-19 has handed us new challenges, even greater than the ones before, but we are determined to face these challenges together as ‘Team Manitoba’,” said Premier Brian Pallisterr. “Our government is focused on protecting Manitobans and helping everyone stay safe and secure during these unprecedented times. Our ‘Protecting Manitobans Agenda’ for health care, job creation, education, child care, protecting vulnerable Manitobans and the environment will be set out in a new throne speech.”
The throne speech will be delivered by Lt-Gov Janice C. Filmon.
