In a story News4 told you about last week police were looking for a 34 year old man for allegedly impersonating a police officer.
Matthew Adam Bartel, 34 was wanted in connection to an investigation where he and another man, William Edward Thomas, identified themselves to several people in Winnipeg and Brandon as police officers and “seized” wallets, cash and credit cards.

Thomas was busted by Brandon Police but Bartel could not be located at the time. He was apprehended on September 25, 2016.
Bartel has been charged with 38 offences which include Personating Peace Officer, Extortion, Theft and Fraud due to his alleged involvement.
He was remanded into custody.
