Winnipeg Police have busted a wannabe Mounty. The 59-year-old fake cop was arrested Wednesday, September 13, 2017, in the 500 block of Manitoba Avenue.
The story the man was telling all began to unravel in March of this year when Winnipeg’s Major Crimes Unit began an investigation into an adult male who was falsely representing himself as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as well as a member of their dive team.

Hanaway has been convicted of impersonating a police officer seven times before dating back to 2009.
He was detained in custody.
