WINNIPEG WEATHER

EXTREME COLD warning in effect for southern Manitoba

Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for southern Manitoba including the city of Winnipeg.

Wind chills are expected to dip to between -40 to -44 overnight and into Friday. Friday morning is expected to be bitterly cold.

When temperatures dip combined with extreme wind chills frostbite can occur in a matter of minutes on exposed skin.

Dress for the weather by dressing in layers with an outer jacket that is wind resistant.
