On June 13, 2016 a 29-year-old male, who had an existing business relationship with the owner of a beauty spa located in the 700 block of St. Anne’s Road was offered a massage by an employee while he waited for the owner.
Once the victim had prepared himself for the massage, he was allegedly sexually assaulted and discovered he was being video recorded during the assault. At this point the victim was extorted out of a sum of money with the threat that the video recording would be released.
An investigation by the Winnipeg Police Service Counter-exploitation Unit resulted in two arrests.
Simple MEHTA, 39-years-old is charged with Extortion, Procuring and Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
Pam SANDHU, 22-years-old is charged with Extortion, Voyeurism, Sexual Assault and Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
