Expanded COVID-19 vaccine eligibility requirements announced

Manitoba has expanded the eligibility to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as of Friday, April 30, 2021.

People aged 30 and older are now eligible to receive the AstraZeneca at pharmacies and medical clinics.

Eligibility to receive a vaccine at a super site or pop-up clinic now includes those over 18 and who are pregnant, are a client of Community Living disABILITY Services, Work in any health-care setting including outpatient settings or work in the vaccine warehouse.

Anyone who is 18 or older who live or work in specific jobs in the following priority communities can make an appointment:

  • Brandon East End
  • Brandon Downtown
  • Inkster West
  • Fort Garry South
  • Seven Oaks West
  • Downtown East
  • Point Douglas South,
  • Inkster East
  • Point Douglas North
  • Downtown West
  • Powerview – Pine Falls

For those who do not live in the priority communities those 50 or older and First Nation people 30 and older are eligible to receive immunization at a super site or pop-up clinic.
