Environment Canada is forecasting a winter storm that will begin on Sunday, April 11, 2021 and continue through Tuesday in southern Manitoba.
In a special weather statement issued on Friday afternoon the national forecasted said that a low pressure system will begin to move into the southern half of the province on Sunday morning bringing with it rain, snow and blowing snow that will continue until Tuesday.
Snow is expected to fall Sunday evening as temperatures drop below the freezing mark. Early indications say 10-20 cm could fall across most places in southern Manitoba with the potential for even higher amounts in local areas.
Temperatures are expected to return to seasonal on Wednesday as the system moves east.
