The City of Winnipeg announced the temporary closure of the Louise Bridge and sections of Empress Street over the weekend for maintenance and construction.
Louise Bridge
Beginning 6:00 am Saturday, October 30, 2021 and continuing until 6:00 am on Monday November 1 the Louise Bridge will be closed to traffic in both directions. Pedestrian access will be maintained on the east sidewalk.
Empress Street
Empress Street is scheduled to be closed between Yukon Avenue to Sargent Avenue during the following hours:
- Friday, October 29 from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m.
- Saturday, October 30 from 9 a.m. until noon
- Monday, November 1 from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
