Employee suffers minor injuries during armed robbery

RCMP in Thompson are investigating an armed robbery on Monday evening, November 16, 2020, on Cree Road.

Police say at around 5:00 pm a male entered a store and asked the clerk for a 24 pack of beer. As the employee went to the back to get the item the male singled to a second person outside the store. The second person, believed to be a female, approached the counter and sprayed the employee with bear spray. The pair then took off with the case of beer in hand.

Surveillance video shows the male suspect to be tall, wearing a black face mask, black torque, camouflage hoodie with a black jacket. The second suspect, believed to be female, was wearing a black face mask, black hoodie with red writing on the sleeves, grey sweat pants and white sneakers.

Anyone with information on the robbery or if you can identify the suspects is asked to call Thompson RCMP at (204) 677-6909.
